Olanipekun, Mary Kehinde earned her B.Sc. (Botany) degree, from the University of Ado-Ekiti (1997) and the M.Tech. Forestry degree from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) (2005). In 2010, she obtained the Ph. D. degree (Plant Resources Management) from University of Ado- Ekiti (UNAD). Her academic career started in Ekiti State University, Ado–Ekiti where she rose through the ranks from  Lecturer II (2012) to Senior Lecturer (2017). She is currently the acting Head of Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology. Her research interest has focussed on the Ethnobotany, Phytomedicine and Conservation of Plants in the management of both animal and human health. This has led to the publication of thirty-five articles in both local and international journals of repute. She has mentored and co-supervised some M.Sc. And Ph. D. theses. Olanipekun, Mary Kehinde is a member of the Botanical Society of Nigeria (BOSON) and a fellow of the African Scientific Institute (ASI). She is happily married to Rev. Dr. Femi Olanipekun and blessed with godly children to the glory of God.
