I welcome you to the Department of Mathematics, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. This is one of the foundation Departments in the Faculty of Science and the University. The Department is made up of capable scholars and academics that handle teaching and research activities within and outside the University. Members of staff are active researchers in their various fields and this is evident in the running of postgraduate programmes (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) in areas such as Numerical Analysis, Optimization theory, Applied Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Probability theory, Stochastic Processes.

The Department also teaches Mathematics to students from other Departments in the University who require Mathematics as part of their foundational courses. The teaching staff are quite friendly and approachable as they discharge their duties. Thus, the environment of the Department is warm for academic activities. You are highly welcome.
