It gives me great joy to welcome you to the Department of Biochemistry. The Department has clearly articulated its specific objectives, mission and vision statements with that of the University. Our courses were designed with a view to producing world class graduates in life sciences, with requisite skills and capacity for creative thinking, innovation and resourcefulness. The curricula of the department are well rounded, robust, current and at par with global standards. They are not only designed following the minimum academic standards prescribed by the regulatory authorities in Nigeria, but also aim at making our students buoyant, intellectually positioned and physically suitable to emerge as leaders in their chosen fields and solution providers in areas of their future endeavours. We have modern and state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops, and a rare breed of erudite scholars, committed and highly motivated faculty and staff. These, coupled with the unique and peaceful environment of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti will undoubtedly and certainly makes learning in the department a pleasurable experience.
